Watered Chestnut

Watch as the clouds roll in
The rain begins, and you forget
Your painted mask wears thin
Unlike your thick skin, but you forget
Runnin' too slow to win
But that old box of tin makes you forget

It's not what you had and lost
But what gave away
It was a cheaper cost
Than you once said it was worth
