This sunset is so unsettling
Everything around is a piece of me lost forever
I am a dust cloud
Time is a swift breeze
Suddenly I just want to call you
We could
Talk
Yesterday wasn’t mine
And today, well
That was someone else
There’s a crimson eye staring at me
It belongs to a cyclops
Who forgets my name
The sky is a misnomer
Maybe tomorrow
I’ll sleep a while
I drive faster than I should
Because I think memories
At least those that make sense
Are a privilege
A commodity
No I don’t
Want to be here
Or anywhere
There was a point when solid ground
Was best friends with the soles of my shoes
But now they are distant
And it’s awkward to land
For any precise amount of time
